To celebrate the launch of this year’s second issue, #DIRT, Simulacrum invites its readers for an evening of live music and performance in the picturesque greenhouse of the Botanische Tuin Zuidas. 

Partnering up with the volunteers of Taste Before You Waste, Den Haag based artist Mattia Papp will prepare a small ‘borrel’ during his edible painting performance. The performance will be created with produce collected by Taste Before You Waste through its weekly urban gleaning collections of Amsterdam’s supermarket waste. After witnessing the performance, visitors will be invited to taste Mattia’s creation while visiting the gardens, enjoying a drink and getting to know Simulacrum’s contributors.

The evening’s sound will be cared for by Simulacrum’s very own Sarkawt Hamad.

You can get your copy of #DIRT through our partner bookstores, or purchase a ticket combo to enjoy a small price reduction. The launch will be preceded by our signature Simulacrum x De Uitkijk movie screening on April 18th, for a full week’s programme centered around dirt.
